Germination: Soak seeds for 24 hours in hot water. Sow 1cm deep in sowing mix + sand or perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet. Germination takes 2-4 weeks.
A dry deciduous shrub or small tree rarely more than 6 m tall with circular, finely pubescent leaves and dense clusters of sweet-scented, white flowers before the leaves appear at the beginning of the rainy season.
It is native to woodlands and forests in Eastern and Southern Africa. In cultivation, Dombeya rotundifolia is best suited to warm temperate climates in USDA Zones 9 and above.
