Germination: Soak seeds in lukewarm water for 24-48 hours. Sow 1cm in coir or sowing mix + sand or perlite. Keep bright and constantly moist but not wet. Germination takes 2-4 weeks.
A rather dainty but fast growing vine native to Santa Cruz in the Galapagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador, where it grows in strange Scalesia forest.
It has unusual, bilobed, lightly mottled leaves and produces lots of purple, white and green flowers.
In cultivation it does best in the tropics in USDA Zone 10 or above.
