Yellow to white 2-3 inch flowers cover the tree / Dense medium - dark green foliage that turns a vivid scarlet in fall / Showy red seeds. The Flame Maple comes to us from China and Japan. It is very ornamental during all the seasons. In spring, the trees are absolutely covered in huge showy fragrant flowers which later turn to bright red seeds that really stand out. These seeds are a favorite for birds. In fall, the tree looks like it is on fire with color, earning it its name of Flame Maple. It has a more red neon / orange color than the darker burgundy of other maples. This is a fast growing tree, and it is an excellent bonsai specimen.
