***MATADOR*** Description Spinach Matador is a high quality dark green spinach with excellent taste for baby leaf or bunching. The semi erect plant has large, oval, slightly crimpy or blistered leaves and is suitable for growing at almost any time of the year. Sometimes described as an easy vegetable to grow spinach needs rich soil with plenty of organic matter and to prevent or delay bolting needs shading and regular watering in the summer months. An easy way of shading spinach is to grow between rows of taller vegetables. Spinach Matador is resistant to many strains of mildew and matures approx. 45 days from sowing. Excellent when eaten fresh with butter, spinach Matador can also be frozen. SOWING INSTRUCTIONS Minimum Germination Temp: 4°C. Optimum Germination Temp: 21°C. Maximum Germination Temp: 23°C.
