One Coco Plum (chrysobalanus icaco) a.k.a Cocoplum tree/shrub. This is the dark purple variety. Coco plums can be grown in zones 10 & 11 and are very hardy. They also can be made to grow as a bonsai. The fruit is much smaller than the plums you would get at a market and have a tougher skin but they are good to eat and make a wonderful jelly or jam. The seeds can be roasted as well for nuts with a slight almond flavor. The first picture is a close-up of a fruit from my tree. The second shows some fruit compared to the size of a quarter.
