Marjoram Pot (Origanum vulgare) is a perennial, with aromatic leaves that are oval, dark green its white or sometimes pink clusters of flowers bloom during mid summer. Pot marjoram can be used as a substitute for golden marjoram but its flavour is slightly inferior. Its dried leaves and flowers are wonderful to add to pot pourri. This plants is great for wildlife, with its flowers being attractive to bees and butterflies and the seeds provide a great source of food for the birds.
