Manufacturer Description

Riviera Bermuda grass Warm Season Grass Seed. Riviera Bermuda grass is a new generation cold-tolerant turf-type warm season grass that is the result of the intercrossing of three parental clone plants, producing a high quality turf that is moderately fine textured with a medium dark green color. Riviera ranks first overall for winter kill resistance, drought tolerance, color, spring green-up and percent living ground cover in spring. Riviera bermuda has good resistance to Bermuda Grass pests. Riviera is well adapted to the transition zone as well as all regions where Bermuda grass is currently grown. Superior performance in the 1997-2001 NTEP trials indicates Riviera is well adapted to the transition zone as well as all regions where Bermuda grass is already grown. Riviera should be planted in areas of full sunlight when soil temperatures reach a consistent 65 degrees Fahrenheit and are on the rise. Plant 2 to 3 pounds of Riviera per 1,000 sq. ft. in a well prepared seedbed. Cover seed with no more than ΒΌ inch of soil. Maintain adequate moisture around using frequent but light irrigation for optimum germination. Seedlings should develop in 10 to 14 days. As seedlings develop, decrease frequency of irrigation but increase the amount of water applied. As turf matures, follow recommended turf watering guidelines for your growing region.
