Manufacturer Description

Ají dulce (Capsicum chinense) are fragrant sweet peppers. They are small and light green; they will turn red as they mature on the plant. It closely resembles the habanero pepper however it does not have the intense heat. In Puerto Rico, it is known as ají dulce or ajicito (sweet pepper and small pepper, respectively, in Spanish). In the Dominican Republic, it is also known as ají gustoso or ají cachucha (tasty pepper, and cap-shaped pepper, respectively, in Spanish). This pepper is used to season dishes and is an important ingredient for sofrito. I grow these special plants in my own Garden without pesticides. Ají Dulce pepper are very hard to find in the US. I harvest my own seeds and plant them each year. Buy from me and plant your own, so that you can make your own fresh sofrito, save the seeds and plant them again the following year. Our Aji Dulce plants are grown organically without chemicals or pesticides. (Known to grow as a perennial in the tropics)
